    I just did the same seal on my Super C. Pull that gear off, mine wasn t terrible. Then the pto shaft comes out the back. My pto shaft was shot also. The old style seal is very large and thick. I used a big socket to drive it out. It would be very tough to pull from the outside. I would use...

    I have a 1946 W-4 I d like to place a 8043 head on. Napa has a the upper gasket set for $36 but it is listed as for a 164 cid engine. The engine I have is the 152. Is this the correct gasket set for my engine?

    My early 1940 M has a push pin that goes through the steering support post to the starter switch. Push it with your toe. I assume earlier models had the same.

    I can agree that you can get bad parts in a new kit. Or sorta the right parts. I rebuilt the carb on my SMTA. Got a new kit. Tore the carb down three times because it was starving. Thought I missed something while cleaning it. Took the carb off my W-9, the motor ran great. Pulled my hair out...

    Welcome! Are you sure its 64164? Maybe 54164? That would make it a late 1974 model I believe if it begins with a 5. According to the serial number listing, 1975 was the last year and it started with tractor 54273. I doubt they made 10,000 tractors that year to get to your serial number...
