    Thanks DieselTech!!

I sent him my fuel pump off a 560 for rebuild. Didn’t have time to reinstall until yesterday. Got it put back together but had to get fresh fuel. This morning got the tank filled and the lines purged. Warmed the glow plugs and it started faster then I ever remember. Dad purchased this tractor...

    SMTA

Looks like they put the preferred fast hitch from a 400 on it.

Farmall C PTO shaft seal part 2

I just did the same seal on my Super C. Pull that gear off, mine wasn t terrible. Then the pto shaft comes out the back. My pto shaft was shot also. The old style seal is very large and thick. I used a big socket to drive it out. It would be very tough to pull from the outside. I would use...

    H / W-4 head gasket

I have a 1946 W-4 I d like to place a 8043 head on. Napa has a the upper gasket set for $36 but it is listed as for a 164 cid engine. The engine I have is the 152. Is this the correct gasket set for my engine?

farmall super h, 12v light question

Ive changed over to 12 volts on most of my tractors. You can use the 3 position or 4 position switches. Remove the coil for the dim setting, toss it. The input power stud is the same, but I forget which stud to hook up the front lights to and use another for the back light. Just use a test light...

    Farmall 350 Need education!

You can remove the front bolster and lay it down with a good engine hoist. I did my SMTA wide front that way but you really need two guys to handle everything. There are easier ways to do things but depends on what you have. Strip down the motor as far as you can first and block up the bell...

    Going to look at a 39 M

My early 1940 M has a push pin that goes through the steering support post to the starter switch. Push it with your toe. I assume earlier models had the same.

    Farmall 350 carburetor help

I can agree that you can get bad parts in a new kit. Or sorta the right parts. I rebuilt the carb on my SMTA. Got a new kit. Tore the carb down three times because it was starving. Thought I missed something while cleaning it. Took the carb off my W-9, the motor ran great. Pulled my hair out...

Trying to determine the year of my grandpa's 140

Welcome! Are you sure its 64164? Maybe 54164? That would make it a late 1974 model I believe if it begins with a 5. According to the serial number listing, 1975 was the last year and it started with tractor 54273. I doubt they made 10,000 tractors that year to get to your serial number...

farmall h and m stories and super h and m

Dad had a Super M that he sold on the auction when I was 5. Never had another letter series for some reason until a couple years before he passed. He was more partial to the F series, other colors and we had a 560 as our main tractor. He bought a 1940 M with a loader for $200 in 2015, needed...

    W4/Farmall H Cut out

Might also try running a piece of fine sandpaper across the contacts. Maybe there is some corrosion there. I literally just finished up my Super C charging system an hour ago. It has a voltage regulator on it instead of a cutout but I could only get it to charge when bypassing the VR. Once I...
