Take the fuel line off from the carb not the tank. Less mess.

    H starting but dying

It sounds like to me you have something clogging the fuel. If you have a dirty rusty tank sometimes it will just let enough fuel through to fill your carb up but not enough to keep it running. I would take the fuel line off and see what kind of flow you have and if none or slow than I would take...

Hard shifting, rolling resistance - IH 300 Utility

It has everything to do with that Ta I know the TA doesnt work but pull the TA back when you shift gears. I have a 560 that is the same way. You hardly get it out of gear. My TA was out of ajustment. Im no TA expert but thats where I would start looking.

    460 vs 450

If I had the choice between the two for actually farming with the 460 over the 450 only because the tractors were so smooth. Alot better balance of the motor. The M's 400 450 would rumble and shake. The 460 and 560 were smooth to operate. AS far as the look of the tractor I would choose 450 and...

Did E85 wipe my rings out and is their better rings?

Just had a fresh rebuild and have a 450 LP head and when finished the tractor had 225 lbs compression. Seen where everyone is mixing the fuel E85 and 93 octane half and half so I did the same. Got a couple of pulls and now my compression dropped to 150 lbs of comp on every cylinder. I know when...
