    it could be posible. but. when i tried putting negative to steel or hook up back ward. my fuel pump dont turn on. so that is why i thought it was hooked up correct. which way should motor spin if im looking at it. ? it was goin clock wise if i was ln front of it.

    No , It is about 3/4 to 7/8 dia. Round. Maybe 3/4 tall .an is in the middle of the carb. Guess u could call it the throat.
