This morning I switched wiring around at the solenoid put reverse wire on drive side still had the same issue. Next move is swapping solenoids. Then put pressure gauges on it. no change in engine speed. Kinda a whining from the gears while slowing down. If I put it in neutral and then put it back in gear it start acting right for a little bit. So, basically forget the electrical part, what would cause my trans to bind up while driving, forward only. It's like while driving it's going in and out of low range or down shifting. There is no low range on this tractor and it can't be automatically switch gears. I know y'all don't know about... -

I am working on a ford 555d backhoe. I was thinking reverse solenoid was coming on while in drive. I just reassembled with reverse solenoid disconnected and I still had the same problem. -

sorry voltage on yellow and white wire where wrote down wrong they need to be switched. Reverse Yellow wire has 5.9vdc in neutral and drive. -

My issue is while driving forward it (seems) to down shift. Reverse acts/reverses normal. I am checking voltage at the Solenoids in the transmission. Tractor not running battery voltage only. Forward/drive solenoid in neutral position has 1.5vdc, forward selected 12.5vdc and reverse selected... -

I have a ford 555d backhoe that acts like it is down shifting or going in and out of low range while driving forward does not seem to do it in reverse.
