    5103 fuse panel help

Thanks buddy. That's what I'm going to do for now since it's hay season and hope I can find the correct parts soon. I hate to cut and rig on a tractor this new and it seems silly to me that I can't get parts for a 14 year old tractor.

    5103 fuse panel help

I know this isn't a very old tractor but I'm looking for some help. I have a 2003 JD 5103. Apparently I had some corrosion in the fuse terminals that has created a lot of heat and melted 2 slots in the fuse panel. I've been to 2 dealers looking for parts to fix it but haven't had any luck. I...

    JD 5103 headlight issues.

I pulled the switch and found that 2 wires were melted at the switch. I'm assuming the turn signals and the hazards are wired together, and that when I turned the turn signals on it supplied power to the headlight switch. I also found a melted terminal in the fuse panel. Looks like I need a...

D17 series IV diesel rear main leak

So, I pulled the rear plate off to check for play in the crankshaft. When I did it dumped a quart or two of oil on the ground. The first time I removed the rear plate I didn't lose any oil. The oil is very thin and runny. Seems like it has a bunch of diesel fuel mixed with it. I just had...

D17 series IV diesel rear main leak

i did replace the wear sleeve. I am going to pull the rear cover back off and check the play in the crank. That was the only other thing I could think of. I figured if the mains were wore out bad enough for it to leak then surely it would be knocking. Anyway, I will check it later and let...

D17 series IV diesel rear main leak

After cutting a field for 2 hours or so I pulled back in the shop and noticed a steady drip every half second or so. I split the tractor and ordered a new rear main. Mine has a one piece that presses in the rear motor plate. It then has a no-ring that goes around the backside of the rear main...
