    1466 knocking help?

    They had it double split new ipto gear, bearings, torque, shims, pumps, gasket sets, brakes, shift linkages. New cluch.pressure plate. Different flywheel. I guess start with pulling the hyd pump. I'm in sw wi, if your close.

    Well just goes to show you that nice guys finish last I loan?d my 1466 to a tech school last winter to put 6g in the rear end.. I've had it back 4mo and now this happens, while I was letting my neighbor use it to clip his 15 acres of crp. I'm a weekend farmer and have put maybe 50 hrs on it...

    Update 1, I got it home it has to do with the hyd. When I hold the level back it changes tone and gets louder.. but the steering wheel nor turning on the pto change the sound.

    The 1466 started to knock today. After mowing weeds for a couple hours. It sounds like it's in the bell housing. But I can't tell exactly. If it's a rod bearing would it rezanate through the crank. Or would the pump/pto drive be more likely. It stays constant with the engine rpm when I depress...

    The starter I took off was rebuilt in 84ish with a new style drive lasted till now.. drive not.bad just that starter was locking up then got real slow then quit altogether. The windings and armature have been rubing bad..

    The number off the nose that came out my smta is just 340 the number on the cone what won't work is 1880872.

    Yes it is related to the nose cone.. it binds up if I tighten the bolts down.. if I back the bolts out then sick a screw driver in there and tighten the bottom bolt it'll turn the motor over.. I don't know what's diff in nose cone but it's not gonna work on my smta.

    The rebuilt starter came from wilson.. I thought it was supposed to be ready to go from the box boy I'm ------.. had to wait 2 days for it. Back to Napa in the morn..
