    Governor drive pulley

Looking for some assistance identifying the style of pulley used on my governor input shaft. Its a stamped pulley with a recess that engaged with a nut on the shaft, and another nut on the opposite side to clamp it tight. I need to find a larger size pulley to get the governor in its operating...

    Governor ID

I need some with identification on this governor, and what it came off of. Its currently on a Chevy 350 power unit for a sawmill. I was told by the man who put the sawmill together (with a different engine) that the governor came off a piece of farm equipment; possibly a bale wagon (harobed)...

    Oliver horse drawn cultivator

Have an old family horse drawn cultivator. Clearly stamped Oliver on the tongue mount casting with several part numbers but no model markings on it. Appears to be a walking model, not a sulky style. Any insight as to what it is? Probably 1890 s or later as that s when out family farmed with...

    Evaporust for Stuck pistons?

What was stuck on the blower? I've heard a couple of different places that they can be an issue. Is it a matter of oxidation between the case and the rotors?

    Evaporust for Stuck pistons?

Has anyone had success using Evaporust in an engine with pistons stuck? I have a Detroit Diesel that I can't get to turn over and was considering pulling the head and using some to get the pistons loose, if that is indeed the problem. Think that it would penetrate between the rings and cylinder...

    Hesston 5540 Baler

I had the adjustment knob turned to where it would ratchet just like you say, which was at the limit of its adjustment. Adjusting in the opposite direction makes the problem worse. For years, I left the adjustments the same without touching them, then last haying season I started having...

    Hesston 5540 Baler

I've been having trouble with the tying mechanism on my 5540 round baler. When I trip the cross-tie mechanism, the twine tubes cycle out properly with minimal actuator ratcheting, but on the return, the actuator cuts out short of the home position, so it continues to feed twine. A second flip...

    JD 530 Baler Thoughts

I do, depending on the field or location of adjacent bales. My thinking is that I'm going to be driving around the field with a loader moving the bales at a later point, and I'm already running the tractor at full RPM while tying; might as well move the bale somewhere more advantageous to...

    Farmall A steering box leaking

Yes the housing had been cracked, and DEFINITELY didn’t have to loot hard to see it. I had the crack brazed inside and out by a local machine shop. The leak doesn’t appear to be coming from the repair, but I could he wrong. Will look into the corn head grease for sure. Thanks

    Farmall A steering box leaking

I am at a loss on this one. After rebuilding the steering box on my ‘39 A it is weeping oil along the gasket as well as the sector shaft seal where the housing and seal meet. I used a gear oil rated RTV in addition to the gasket and seal provided in the rebuild kit. Followed the instructions...

    C113 head coolant leak

That migh be the best things I've heard all day. So all the manifold studs extend into the water passage then?

    C113 head coolant leak

Has anyone had issues with coolant leaking from the manifold studs on the #4 cylinder exhaust port on a C113 engine? After rebuilding my A engine, and about an hour and a half of run time in 15 to 20 minute intervals I have a coolant leak from the aforementioned studs. The block and head...

    All-crop 60 hauling

I'm considering buying a All-crop 60 that's 5 plus hours away from home. What is folks experience with loading them on a gooseneck trailer with ramps? Wondering if the tread width will fit on an 8' wide deck. I'm guessing it's an over width load without some disassembly. Posted on the...
