    Any tricks on making a temporary gas tank

    In addition to the gas tank, another thing I always save when I scrap an old riding mower is the nice little battery box under the seat. Has a nice lid, and comes in handy in trailer tongues for a small battery for the breakaway switch for the brakes

    Yep, a big parts store that specializes in big truck stuff can measure and search- if it's available, they can find it. They do stuff all the time for truck PTO units etc

    56' diameter at the bottom with 1/1 slope up to top, and a ramp out on one side for access. I hole per day, digging with a 345 excavator, pushing the dirt away with a D8T

    We had a pair of 4-row 468's for the 706D's. After gramps had his stroke we cut down on the bean acreage, so we just left one set up with the bean pullers and the other to cultivate. The design of the arms n such looks the same on yours

    Gotta admit, I have no idea what kind of "water level" you are talking about. The ones I've used were brutally simple and dependable. Water in a simple length of tubing will be the same height at one end as the other, bottom of meniscus. Go down to Home Depot and get 10' of 3/4" clear plastic...

I, and the folks I learned from, would just hold on end, bottom of meniscus, on the grade you wanted to carry around a corner etc., say the bottom of a row of siding or a window frame, and the water at the other end of the tube will...

    Water will always find its own level- the trick to using a "water level" is understanding and going by "the bottom of the meniscus", and holding both ends of the tube dead vertical. Most old carpenters I knew just had a length of clear plastic tubing stashed in their truck

    Remove hood from 3414

    I may have to pull the generator from the 3414, and it's tucked in behind the loader frame. Looks like it would be easier from the top, but in a quick look, I'm not seeing any fasteners that would allow removal of the hood. Nothing in the IT manual, youtube or general searches so far. Anyone...

    Don't forget the "water level", a piece of clear plastic tubing with water in it, so you were able to transfer a grade around a corner

    Polarize the 3414

    OK, it's boogered. Hooked up correctly and polarized, got a spark but not charging- but it's usable. When I have more time I'll test it out to see if the generator is actually putting out, maybe it's just the regulator. On this particular model the generator is tucked up inside the loader frame...
