Ford 4000- Pulling capacity and serial number question
I own a really nice Ford 4000 3 Cyl gas, runs great now with a new carb.. The serial numbers are. C1491226J7, 6E17G and 41024C.. the serial doesn't make any sense. All I;ve found starting with a C is Ford 3000's. Is that possible? It has High and Low range and 4 speeds in each range. I'm... -

Ford 4000 spits and sputters and stops
After I start my fine Ford, she gets warmed up and shortly there after the engine spits sputters and stops. I can go a little distance, a few feet if I restart and use the choke. There is gas in the engine and I have no idea what is causing this. Any ideas? Good battery good starting power just... -

New Idea Side delivery rake #5
I am trying to replace a broken part on my side rake. I am having great difficulty pulling the axle out due to a stubborn gear. Does anyone know if there is a secret to getting the axle to slide through this particular gear?? the smaller of the two..- Meyer712

New Idea #4 Hay Rake
I'm trying to get the wheel off my #4. I took the cotter pin out, soaked the "Pin" with PB Blaster, thinking it would pop out with a quick hit of the hammer. It only moves about a quarter inch. Then Nothing. Is there a secret to getting this axle pin out???? Thanks in advance- Meyer712

Ford 4000 Carburetor
It is a zenith, but no model number, Not sure where the fuel pump is but she works well. I took the glass bulb of and turned it over to see if I had the gas shut off and she shot out doing that. I guess I will need to find a rebuild kit. I checked the float and she does not sink Does anyone have...- Meyer712

Ford 4000 Carburetor
Ok... I have tried everything up to to rebuilding this carburator. I can not get this this thing to run right. As suggested I shut the fuel off and just before she dies she runs perfect. It is a 3 cyl gas, there is fire on all plugs. There is no real adjustment screws other than the one on top...- Meyer712

I think the guy I bought my 4000 from screwed up the battery wiring. Is there a way to tell if it should be a positive ground or negative ground. The guy had the positive running to the selenoid adn then from that to the starter. the neg to the a bolt on the frame. There was very heavy... -

Cheapest way to add hydraulics to the rear of a Ford 2000
Does anyone have a plumbing schematic to a single spool valve from the HV 5902 adapter plate. Just want to make sure I plumbed this in correctly. This installation instructions that came with the plate are not very specific at all. I have one hose out from the "P" outlet to the "IN" on the... -

Ok I seem to have lost my hydraulics to the three point arms. The rear hydro works but no hydro to the arms. any ideas here?? -
