    snapping turtles

    We have done all of the above over the years..we have a few ponds that are over run with channel cats so we set trotlines several times a year..hasnt been one time we didnt catch a snapper on the line also. Careful tho as snappers are protected in several states..but boy are they good fried.

    To much rain!

    We received a few inches yesterday and this morning..20 miles south of me received 11 inches in a 4 hour period yesterday..flooding galore..im in the mindset since i have1stcut done, that it can rain all it wants. I know many others are still waiting to get in the field..we had a perfect 5 days...

    Fathers day requests

    Last year my kids ( ages 17 to 24 ) got together without me knowing and did a photo shoot and made me a wonderful collage of photos..wonderful gift This year they did it again.. They came over Sunday and we spent 3 hours taking photos on the farm..i had a wonderful time and cant wait to see...

    Watching news..as of today we have gotten 24.72 inches of rain so far this year..last year at this time we received 14.06 inches..yep were wet in this area.

    Almost 2 weeks ago i thought i had a good 4 day window of high 70's and low 80's..layed down 12 acres of fescue and orchard to put in small square...started raining on day 2 and rained for 4 days..i was able to put up a little over 200 before rain started again..have 3 outer rows still in...

    What the heck?

    Obviously the guy would be trespassing if he came onto the property. I would do as suggested and advise him that he is more than welcome to bale it on shares, or if you dont need the hay then you would sell him your share. Thats if you want it baled..if not burn some fuel and chop it.

    Been a carpenter/contractor for over 27 years and do many metal roofs on houses every year..The biggest issue with leaving existing roofing on and putting fir strips then metal over is the weight of the roofload..for those that live in snowless areas this may not be a factor..i personally wont...
