    Pease remind me why?????????????

I'm not too far from you. I've had several instances where "hunters" trespassed on my ground. Once I got tired enough of it happening and did something about it, I found out it was mostly "city folks" that just assumed that a patch of undisturbed woods meant no one cared if they hunted it or...

    Picture for today

We went to the National Farm Machinery Show last week. I made a point to watch the reaction of anyone who looked like they may be in their 70's or older when they walked up on some of the really modern stuff. Their expressions were priceless. Basically the same as the very little kids.

    Picture for today

Dad had a (later model) WD. No picture of it would be complete unless it showed me getting the narrow front sunk to the frame in mud. I could be on a concrete parking lot in the middle of the worst drought in history and find mud with it.

We tried to protect ourselves from poaching BTOs.

Exactly. Seems a lot of smaller operators want what they want, with no competition, and they want it at below current market prices. Same people generally whine like a cat with it's tail caught in a car door when someone wants to buy hay from them at below market price (as an example) A lot...

We tried to protect ourselves from poaching BTOs.

Same here. You better be willing to lay down the full amount on day 1 of the agreement, AND, you better be willing to take care of the property (ie trees, mowing etc) while you have property, or you won't be back next year. Been that way for quite a few years. One local "bto" who farms around...

    Drought

Here in north-central Kentucky, we've had a good bit of rain scattered out in several "rain events" since last fall. Ground moisture is back to near normal, and we've even been categorized as being excessively wet. Funny thing....We were at that exact same point this time LAST year. Then we...

    Tractor payment

Anything of significant value, I always meet other party at a bank. I carry a current letter of credit from my bank when doing sales. Then go to bank and make transfer on the spot. In this day and age, I cannot understand why someone would carry large amounts of cash with an unknown party at...

    Huskee 300 gal boom sprayer

Just about all the lower end sprayers I've ever been around use "Tee-Jet" brand nozzles, which are as common as ants at a picnic. If no other source, Tractor Supply will have them. Even if you have some other brand, it would be a very simple change-over to Tee Jet. Spray nozzles aren't...

O.T. - for the safety police

Where is his eye protection? And knee pads, elbow pads, helmet, orange flag on 8' pole, UL sticker, OSHA compliance tag, roll cage, fire supression system, parachute, life jacket, and first aid kit?

    Know What Bugs Me?

Both the Dodges hold a gallon. Down side is, that blasted "low windshield washer fluid" light and bell. Along with seat belts not fastened bell, turn signal left on bell, dome light left on bell, etc... a ride with me sounds like the opening music to the Exorcist. And a few miles down the...

    OT: Blue tooth hearing aids?

I suffer from hearing loss to the tune of roughly 80%. It's from running excessively loud tractors without hearing protection, therefore, as with the OP, hearing aids may be ALL about tractors in many regards.
