    O/T 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee to tractor show today.

    Today I drove my 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Clarksville TN to Evansville IN to the tractor show. I pulled a 6 x 12 trailer with a golf cart and an anitque engine on it. I got 15.3 MPG going. On the way home my 15.3 dropped all the way to 11.8 MPG. Big drop and I don't understand why. 2 things...

    3.5 HP briggs

    What kind of shape is the flywheel key in? If sheared just slightly and using a points setup the engine will not fire properly. Turning the engine over by hand you may not produce enough spark. Is the flywheel to coil clearance set properly. I always used a business card to set this distance...

    Has anyone ever made, used something called a mumbler?

    We called them drags also. Pulled it with a team of mules. First job I ever had was riding the drag after the ground had been plowed. Probably started when I was about 7 years old. Ride that thing all day long.
