    336 engine

I've had 2 of the 283 diesels that had a cracked jug and would leak water into the crankcase. Any 336 engine will bolt into a U/UB without too much hassle. As for the diesels, the 5 star is the easiest one to do, however. You need to use the U flywheel and the 5 star starter, if I remember...

    Stroking a Diesel

I did it. Used a G crank, have 30+ hooks on it, I run a 4 mph class (at 2100 rpm) and have spun it as much as 2800. Don't believe all the naysayers. I'm not the first one to do it, either.

    PSB injection pump

On my UB diesel PSB pump, there's an arrow stamped into the side of the pump head indicating direction of rotation. As for where #1 is, I don't know for sure. I remember just putting the injector lines on and they all matched up to their correct location. I remember it being pretty easy and...

    hand crank compatability for Pacer

My No. 16 1955 Pacer has a crank shaft jaw nut that will accept a hand crank, however I can't seem to find a hand crank for sale that will fit my Pacer. Some of the Ford and IH hand cranks on ebay look like they would fit, but am not 100% sure. Any ideas what the dimensions are for a hand...

    670 Clutch and Torque

I talked with my Moline parts guru a few weeks ago about this very topic. When he looked the parts up, his first comment was "holy moly"....All the parts are available... $1,100 or so just for the sprag clutches.

    Tractor ride pics

We just did our big ride for the year 3 weeks ago from Hartford, WI area to the Badger Steam and Gas show in Baraboo. I zeroed out my GPS before we left the driveway on Thursday, and when we got home Sunday it showed 196 miles. Our U302 Super never missed a beat and I figured an average of about...

    Oliver 565 plow

I can't argue that, you make good points. Our hosts typically have about 120 acres for us, and if you saw the way our club does things, you'd see why a plow this size is OK. We do more horsing around than actual plowing sometimes. Plus, I'm not 100% sure my tractor will handle it, but the plow...

    Oliver 565 plow

We recently rescued this from my Father- in-Law's woods, its been sitting for 20 some years. The plan is to fix it up and use it for our club's plow days. I need a good place (cheap) to find landsides and a couple of moldboards for sure. I also need a hydraulic cylinder for it. I don't...

    Minneapolis Moline GB

I had that problem once on a UB Diesel. We bled everything, including the return lines, and still no luck. Chained it to another tractor and pulled it 25 feet and we had fuel. Sometimes the starter motor just doesn't spin it fast enough I guess...

MM 705 water in the oil pan

I agree with Smoking Minnie, my first bet is the water pump seal, especially since you said its been sitting for a while. The parts should he available to fix it.

Moline UTS vs UTU vs UB for pulling

What weight do you want to run? UB is far more operator friendly, but are harder to get under 5,000 lbs. I think there's a certain casting # U rear end that was lighter, but I'm not certain.

    6v53t Detroit parts needed

I'm in SE WI. I wouldn't think that shipping a tin oil pan would cost much? My email is open, shoot me an email so we can discuss what you have, and how much you're asking. Thanks!

    6v53t Detroit parts needed

I'm running out of places to look, so I thought I'd try here. I need an oil pan for a 6V53T that I have, it came out of a truck. I'm also in need of a clutch and flywheel for a manual transmission for it also. It had an automatic behind it, so I have the wrong flywheel for what I'm doing. Any...

    403 diesel

The misguided Ohio plowboy is on the loose...watch out!! LOL I built one. 4 cyl, 425 CID. But I pull 5500-7000 lbs 18.4 tires, 4-5 mph speed limit open rpm (I run 2100). Turbo/NA mixed classes. I like having something different and its competitive too. Heads are the limiting factor, you'll want...
