To add to how things have changed

My dad gave me the old car if I would stay on the farm when I was sixteen. A sedan, six cylinder, three on the tree. my friends were building V8 hot rods. I have a 1/2 ton pickup that rides and drives like a car. I would still go back and be sixteen again then be 78 now. john

    JD plow? Size?

I think its older then a 4B, because on a 4B the land wheel was at least 28-32 inches high. The furrow wheel was smaller. At least it was on the 4B we had when I was about fifteen when my dad bought a 44 to replace it. john

    720 clutch bevel washers

I completly overhaul all my two-cylinder clutches with new pins, bolts, toggles, dogs and whatever else is needed. And I always use Bellville washers after. The clutches are always less grabby and a lot smoother with them installed. john

    JD 4 Bottom Plow ID

Its an 810 because of the shot beam in front where the front courter bolts on. The 812 thur 814 has a longer beam. The 810 needed a shorter beam was needed because of the new three point hitch on the new 620-720 which the plow was built for. john
