    Went out tried to put the B in N Both with the clutch in and out. NO GO.. Im assuming ill find adjustment on the clutch rod AFTER I remove the pan underneath the floor board. That right???

    Jim , I dont remember if I tried that after it died. Ill try it tomorrow. 60yrs ago I had a 20 that did the same thing. I took the shifter lever plate and got it working again, But for the life of me, I dont remember what I did. Im 78 now and memories slipping a bit

    OUTA COURISITY U A KANSAN. IF SO, SO WAS I FOR 40YRS. I WAS DISCING WITH IT WITH A 8FT HORSE DISC. I CAME TO THE END OF MY GARDEN, AND IT WOULDNT SHIFT OUT OF 1ST GEAR. WHENEVER I HAND CRANKED IT AND IT STARTED, ID HAVE TO HOLD THE CLUTCHIN FOR AROUND A MINUTE BEFORE i COULD SHIFT

    DAVE BY SAYING, THE ENGINE IS LOCKED, I MEAN IF I TRY TO HAND CRANK IT AS IT HAS NO STARTER, AND IT STARTS, IT WOULD RUN ME DOWN. ILL CHECK THAT PEDAL SPACING. THANKS

    I can tell u theres likely a heck of alot of weight in that engine as I found out when I had to raise a VAC engine off the ground. I dont have a engine stand, but do have saw horses im hoping will fit under neath it

    I was doing something to a VAC one time, and had split it. I put my boy on side and me on the other and was gonna roll it forward. It started to go his way, and he just backed up. We had a HECK of a time raising that engine back up again

    I have had to, for a few years, had to wait for a few minutes to change gears in my 40 B. Id also have to retard the gas to almost idleing. Tonight I took it and hitched it to my 8ft horse disc in my garden. When I was done, I found I couldnt disengage it from low. What should I do??
