New boat with Palmer M-60 engine

Welcome to YT. How about some pictures. Sounds like an interesting project. I bet some of those parts are hard to get.

    Pipe wrench question

The small one is my favorite. The internet says it was made by Frank Mossberg Co. around 1900. It's an adjustable bicycle wrench, A-1

    Pipe wrench question

Nice. Those go in my “cool old tools” boxes. Leads me to collect cool old tool boxes 😎

Battery question on my 1950 super M

The positive post is a little larger than the negative so the clamps will most likely retain that size. That can give you a pretty good indication of which one was ground the last time it had a battery.

Just picked up a Stihl pole saw---looking for operator tips

What @Fawteen said! One thing is for sure pinching the blade will encourage you to think about your cut and be careful next time. I don't use my power pole saw any more but I have a couple of manual pole saws. I find them much lighter, get higher, and as effective. Also cheap enough to have an...

Sell them or move them to something that needs them. It does look out of character.

    Mini split heat pump????????

I think that would work well. My 2 story I left the gas furnace that has duct to down stairs and use it on coldest days when the heat pumps struggle. Glad I have it.

    Mini split heat pump????????

Some things to consider do you feel you need a head unit in every room? How big is your house? Is it one story? Are you looking at one multizone or two? My 2 story has 2 24K outside units with 5 head units. Old, large shotgun house. Downstairs is all open with 2 1200K heads, one front and...

Building Doors for Shop Loft Storage Area

I know you have a picture in your mind's eye but with tin and old barn wood there is a lot of leeway with fit and finish and still look good and many ways to do what you want. This is a window my grandad had on his shop that I kept when I rebuilt his shop. The shop has 3/4 plywood & tar paper...

Fixing Brakes on a 1974 IH 200 - Fix Original Stuff or Replace with Modern??

Just a catch all I use because it’s not mainstream enough to have a big choice of replacement parts. Nice truck. I like orphans.

Fixing Brakes on a 1974 IH 200 - Fix Original Stuff or Replace with Modern??

Since this is an orphan I think with parts in hand you can figure out what you have and what you need a lot better. I have no doubt you can get it fixed. Gotta stick your head in there.
