    G1000 Club

My family has two of them. The card is made of brass and has the owners name stamped on it. One for a 1965 G1000 purchased new by my great-great grandpa before he retired farming and another for a 1967 G1000 that was purchased new by my great grandpa. Both are still in the family.

    G1000 Vista rear end oil

Take the advice from someone that has overhauled dozens of G1000/Vista/trans and differentials. Put 80-90 in the spur gears and worn bearings will appreciate it. The lube pump will be fine. Your canister filter on passenger side is the same as hydraulic filter. Be sure to check suction screen in...

G955 Pulley on end of crank

Contact Welter's Farm Supply 417-498- 6496. They have a place that rebuilds the original with new rubber. Much better than buying a used one that is only a couple years away from separating like yours.

    MM 670 Super

If the hydraulics get hot, odds are good that the Gressen valves are leaking, causing the pump to constantly run. They are originally very tight tolerances. I have heard of people getting them resurfaced.

    Moline splitting stand.

We use the ones made by Cofersales.com. They are high quality and work on many different brands.

    G900 Hydraulic Oil Cooler.

It is possible the gressen valves are leaking (very tight tolerances required).

    Overcharging issue

Are you sure that is does not need to be on the F (field) side of the alternator?

    G1000 Vista clutch pilot bearing

It most likely is the correct one. Late model MM tractors have oil pushed up the PTO shaft to lube the splines and the pilot bearing.

    G1000 injectors

Extreme care should be used when tightening the injector studs. They should be torqued to less than 20 ft pounds. Exceeding that value will cause the face of the nozzle to distort and can cause a miss (which I have experienced). Be sure that you have the appropriate washer thickness under the...

    Tach drive on 670 Super

If possible, try to just pry the cable out with side cutters and buy a new cable. Last option is to intall a new insert in the oil pump. It can go really good or really bad quickly.

    Tach drive on 670 Super

Not good to take out... worse to reinstall. Your best bet is to buy a pair of snap-on side cutters with the cutting edge square against the side of the pliers, not offset 0.075" like the standard type. Then, pry it out. After this, you will want to make an aluminum driver to push the new insert...

    Tach drive on 670 Super

Is this in the tachometer, cable, or oil pump? If in oil pump, the top insert can be removed and replaced.

    1000 vs 1355

Basically, the rpm was increased and a century 706 carburetor with a larger intake tube was used. Also, big throat, small runner intake manifold was used to control the vacuum. The 1355 engine would have used an external oil cooler; however, this would not effect short-term power ability on the...

    G1000 transmissions/differential oil

I might be the only one.. but I have repaired many G1000 trans that have used hytran. I have repaired none that use 85-140 synthetic.

    G1000 Power steering leak

I always recommend Welters Farm Supply. 417-498-6496. Great service and good prices. They deal in MM everyday whereas any other place has no idea.
