MF12 "sticking" at top of stroke

Thank you, Mike. How to sharpen the knives? Can I get in there with a file or is disassembly required? I was wondering how technologically advanced the new balers are. Honestly, companies ought to produce budget equipment that is simple but durable and repairable for those of us who are not...

MF12 "sticking" at top of stroke

I GOT IT RUNNING! The mechanism seems to be the slide but I am going to have someone look at it. For now, though, it runs and after additional cleaning and noticing a stick knife mechanism, I lubricated all that and tried the baler. 13 bales on my test track, and it missed ZERO knots!! The...

MF12 "sticking" at top of stroke

Mine has been tarped during winters...best I can do...but I suspect ice could be an issue. I swear the entry cost to ag is too high for middle-aged folks with young children and a mortgage.

MF12 "sticking" at top of stroke

Oh, one other question. My manual is hard to read... Starting at the far right side as number 1 and the slot closest to the left side as number 4, what positions do the twine balls go in? I noticed my twine was tangled in the twine box...no doubt could be a contributing factor to lack of tying...

MF12 "sticking" at top of stroke

Thank you, guys. I'll have a look. I do wish I could find someone to go through these and replace bearings, time, etc. It is worth it to me to have these machines professionally gone through...but not at my local farm supply store. They were at $175/hr shop rate a couple years ago. WTH.

MF12 "sticking" at top of stroke

I am trying to get my Massey Ferguson MF12 baler running for the season. It was running perfectly at the close of last season. Unfortunately it is "sticking" at the top of the stroke, where the arms that push hay into the bale chute are fully out of the baler/upright. It also isn't tying, but...

    Float Mode - Workmaster

I must be blind because I can't find it in my manual. How do I put a newer New Holland Workmaster tractor's loader into "float"mode so I can clear snow, etc.? Mine is a 2023 WM120 with the factory loader/bucket. Pushing down on the yoke just lifts the front of the tractor off the ground...

MF12 - How to Hitch Hay Wagon?

I think things vary by region. I'm in southern Missouri and it's tough to find folks here who even do squares anymore. The square balers I see are simple, without thrower and chute extension. I think there were package deals out here back in the day from Massey-Ferguson...MF135 tractor with a...

MF12 - How to Hitch Hay Wagon?

Yes, should be simple enough. I'll check to see if there's someone out here who can help make one. Thank you.

MF12 - How to Hitch Hay Wagon?

Thank you...got the parts book to open tonight (was having trouble with it displaying graphics earlier.) Indeed, looks like I'm missing the 153135M92 chutes on both balers. Not sure if these were an option...but I don't have them on either of my 2 MF12s.

MF12 - How to Hitch Hay Wagon?

I'm gonna need an extension chute, too, looks like... I only have one chute assembly coming off the baler, not the horizontal chute you're showing but instead that piece that's folded up/back at the end in the picture you posted. Wondering if I just need to try to order that horizontal part...

MF12 - How to Hitch Hay Wagon?

On an MF12 baler...is there any way to hitch a hay wagon up behind this thing to make life easier? I've seen videos of old balers with pull-behind wagons dumping hay from the chute into the wagon. Wondering if there's an add-on to connect the wagon to the baler (does not appear these balers...
