    That looks really cool.

MF-135 and MF-150 with planetary final drive

Bart, The 135 with planetary final drives is the orchard version. They used a 165 rear end in those tractors and they were very well built. Those tractors had 18.4-16.1 tires, which are short and fat but I have seen them converted to 24" tires to be more of a utility tractor. I have also...

Looking for MF 3165 turf tractor

It actually started with orchard MF tractors before I stumbled across the first turf tractor. I was on the golf team in high school and was just as interested in the turf equipment on the course as I was with a good chip or putt. We were already tractor collectors at the time but fast forward...

Looking for MF 3165 turf tractor

Ah but there is and you are correct that they are built lighter. The turf special 3165 has the G176 Continental gas and a straight axle rear end (no planetaries). Zack

Looking for MF 3165 turf tractor

Anyone run across a Massey Ferguson 3165 turf special that might be for sale? I've got a 35 turf and 2135 turf and would love to find a 3165. Thanks for any help. Zack

    Turf Industrial 2135 Tractors

Ben, that's a Perkins 152 engine, which is 3 cylinder. Is it gas or diesel? The MF tractor number is either on the dash or below the battery on a panel near the voltage regulator. If you can post a picture of your tractor I would love to see it. Zack

    Turf Industrial 2135 Tractors

Brian, I agree with you 100%. The gearing in the 35 turf is ridiculously fast and borderline scary. The 2135 on the left with the shuttle has way slower gears in it. I have a 35 utility and turf parts book and will look up the gears later today.

    Turf Industrial 2135 Tractors

I've seen the 35 turf list also, but not broken down that far; that's great info! Did they not use 656000106-656000149 or is that a typo? Let me know if you've got the 2135 turf list. Thanks!

    Turf Industrial 2135 Tractors

Yep, that's the serial number list I've seen also for the regular utilities. I'm not sure why the 648 prefix for the turf models is so tough to track down.

    Turf Industrial 2135 Tractors

Check these out - 1965 MF 2135 utility with factory orchard wheels and shuttle, 1963 MF 35 turf special with shuttle, 1965 (guesstimated) MF 2135 turf special. Does anyone have a serial number listing for the 2135 turf special that starts with 648 prefix? I have manuals and see reference to it...

    A question

I agree with Vic. The best weight would be 50# that's no more than 1/2" thick and who cares what the profile actually is. You won't be infringing on anyone's design if you just make it look generic. The biggest problem we run into in using factory suitcase weights is that they're too thick...

D15 engine with water in the pan

I transplanted a G160 from a D15 tractor into my D12 for pulling. I had already had the tractor running last week but before I fired it up last night I decided to fill the radiator with water before a test drive. To my surprise, it took a lot of water as I filled it until I notice water...
