    Best round baler

We have 2 Vermeer 505 super I round balers. They are both 1996. We had one and loved it. We have put over 15,000 bale through it and only replaced the drive chains once. Never put a bearing in it yet. We liked that one so well we had the chance to buy a second one that had been shedded for...

    Massey 492 front differential

It is a 2004. I bought it about 3 years ago. It doesn't look like gear teeth in there and there is oil that resembles 80-90. I called the dealer this morning and they said there are a couple discs in there that sounds like they came apart. They said the same thing not to use it any more until...

    Massey 492 front differential

We have a 492 with fwa on it. Using it this weekend it sounded a little noisy. I disengaged the front end and it was quiet so I finished feeding hay and carrying firewood. I got to looking after work today and saw 2 drain plugs, one on the front axel and one in the housing where the drive shaft...

    Bobcat year help!

Is there a website or list (like tractor data) but for Bobcats? Anything I find say to call bobcat. Seems like a pain just to find out the year. Still trying to find more information out about the S 185 that I posted about last week. Thanks in advance.

    S185 Bobcat

I currently have a mustang 960 skid loader that has been an excellent machine for me. I have done the normal maintenance on it and put a water pump in it. Other than that I have done nothing to it except use it. I have thought about upgrading to something a little newer with heat for feeding...

    IH #16 chopper and heads

I have a #16 chopper with a corn head on it, a pick up head, and also a direct cut 5' hay head. The chopper runs smooth and works good with the corn head. I have never had either hay head on it. I am toying with the idea of selling this package but not sure what it's worth. All 3 heads are in...

    Thanks Galen Houk

I thought the picker was neat too! I'm 2 1/2 hours north and didn't want to have to make two trips so I had to pick and choose! I ended up with a full load. I did notice the equipment that was left seemed exceptionally clean.

    Thanks Galen Houk

I ended up purchasing the International 16 chopper and both heads on the Fayhe auction last night. I wouldn't have even known about them if I hadn't ran across your post. I'm not a big collector but I have a 200 with some fast hitch implements, a H and a M. I actually have a number 16 with a...

New face having her first Christmas!!!

Thanks guys! We home now with antibiotics for her. Thankful for all the technology and good doctors and nurses. Even though there are "a few bumps in the road" we are very thankful! There are so many that have much bigger worries and health issues with a family member or loved one.

New face having her first Christmas!!!

Congratulations! Here is my 5 week old. We were at children's hospital for thanksgiving with breathing issues right after she was born. We brought her in to the ER yesterday morning with a plugged nose and heavy breathing to find out she has pneumonia now. So Christmas is in the hospital too...

    Picking corn

Thanks for all the help guys! I got a lot of good information! I did end up waiting on picking. Like I said, it tested at 21 - 23%. I did the float trick this morning and only 1 cob out of 6 floated. Going to give it a few days and try again.

    Picking corn

I have a new idea 324 picker with a 327 12 roll husking bed. We are the only ones in our area to pick ear corn anymore. Everyone has gone to combining. We only do 5 to 7 acres of corn each year. We use it to creep feed our small end beef calves through the winter. It does a pretty good job but...

    Picking corn

I have heard 5 ears in a pail and if 3 float your safe. Hate to have it spoil! I have not tried this but out of curiosity I will tomorrow!
