    cutting rims to loose weight

    I have cut my wheels and found that I only save 8-10 lbs. per wheel depending on wheel thickness. I am attaching a picture for you to see how much I removed.

    There is a pull at England Prairie (near Verndale) on Saturday and one at Finn Creek Museum (near New York Mills) on Sunday. There is also a pull in Dalton on Sept 7. All are west central MN.

    Water in the oil?

    I had water leaking into one cylinder around the sleeve (about a quart over night). I used boiler sealer and it stopped it completely and didn't affect the cooling at all. You should be able to get it from any plumbing supply.

    Carb for JD B

    I have an engine similar to what you are building and have used the following carbs, a 51, 71 and a 67 which was modified. The engine ran fine on all of them using E-85. The main thing is get someone that knows 2 cyl carbs to rebuild it, I like the work done by Mike Shelby.
