    I betcha that 9-16 is the option for when upspec-ing the base tractor to the loaded backhoe and loader.( which is what mine is)

    When I got the machine it had car tires on it. Obviously this won't work when I start scooping stuff .( pop) What tires are SUPPOSED to be on it? I know I want a 12 PR or better , Rim is 16x5.5 inside lip to inside lip.

    3550 engine swap.

    Mine is running but i just cant get past this fear that it is knocking . It smokes and has some blowby. Hard start without a shot of either . So i could defintly justify a new motor . There is no metal in the oil and there was none in the filter when i cut it open.

    Just for argument ....... Could i swap a 3cyl diesal motor for a 3cyl gas engine? Why would i do this? Because a reman diesal engine is almost $9000. And a gas reman is about 3. Im not running this thing commercially.

    Attempted to fill the backhoe with coolant and it just pours right back out from someplace between the engine and trans . I know im going to have to separate them to fix it ,i was just curous what is back there that would leak so bad . Please just be a core plug!!!!

    So update on the backhoe. Cut the filter open and found 0 flakes of anything . Showed my engine rebuilder and he said it was a good looking filter ,so i spun a new filter on and have been running the engine here and there as i make more and more repairs to it ,getting it ready for service .     Using a mirror ,I was able to identify the tires from the back side today . Only because the good texas sun hadn't baked off the side wall on the inside . They are indeed, 16.9x24 R4 8 ply . Since that's what was on it ( probably since new) this is exactly what I'll be ordering . Thanks for...

    That's what I keep seeing is how dynamite these little motors are . Couldn't tell you much about the muffler except it looks solid . A noisy motor dosent bother me ,but I am scared of it being a problem and not addressing it and punching a hole in an otherwise rebuildable block.
