    Weed Wacker woes

    Try taking the reed valve out and check the plate that limits how far the reed valve opens, I had a Ryobi and that plate was bent so the reed valve wouldn't close properly.

    Another pileated encounter...

    Saw two the other day, right behind the house. Their call is very distinctive and loud when they are up close. Don't see them too often. There used to be a season on them in Missouri, quick check didn't yield any info now though. I enjoy watching them.

    Doesn't look big enough for a ZZ, maybe an A, B or K.They all look similar. My ZZ is 19" tall from the bottom of the mount to the top of the cylinder head. Hope that helps.

    I have a craftsman, probably just like it, mine quit working too. I found a knob right next to the air inlet that was set on "0" turned it to "4" and it worked like a champ.
