    Oliver 70s

Very cool. I had this 70 Standard until 2017 when I became ill and sold off my collection. These truly are the "Rolls Royce of tractors" IMHO.

I’m new to Oliver forum, need value of1941 Oliver 60 wide front end.

Probably go back and have another look next month when in Tuscon. I told the owner is was worth $2200 to me but no sale. Nice guy. He has a Super 55 also, not for sale, that definitely needs a valve adjustment. My experience has been that you usually can't hear the motor over the exhaust note...

I’m new to Oliver forum, need value of1941 Oliver 60 wide front end.

I went by yesterday and looked at this tractor. Pretty nice cosmetic shape, but the engine is the noisiest Oliver I have ever heard. Took a video but can't seem to upload it to this site. Huge amount of clatter, which was difficult to pinpoint. First thought it was rod knock, but maybe valve...

Ad says "I do not have the side panels, but they are available."

Been for sale a long time.....looks like a pretty nice example. You sure don't see 60 standards that often.

    John Deere B won't idle

Did you mess around with the governor linkage? I took mine off to repaint many yeas ago and had a heck of time getting it to idle properly when re-installed. Carb was fine.

    Early John Deere AR Wheels

1940 AR I had several years ago. Don't know if the rear rims were original to the model, but the rest of the tractor was highly original.

    Model M temp gauge

My 1949 is mechanical, and appears to be original (type). Runs 210 all the time when warmed up fully.

    M carb question

Just tighten the packing nut. I've never had to replace one of these. Setting them can be a bit of a challenge. I usually have my wife drive it in 1st gear, put on the brakes to load it, and adjust while I am walking along side the tractor. Pretty easy to do this way. FWIW - had many M,40,420...

    Wartime A front spoke wheel

Don't know if this would help. They do look like the fronts I had on my '41 A regular, which was sold a few years back. https://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/grd/d/glendale-two-15-5-vintage-10-spoke/7609228500.html

    1949 JD M rims

Had new front tires put on my '49 Model M a few months ago. Local tire shop did it while I watched. Didn't see any issue with the cast iron wheel. Be sure you clean and re-grease the bearings. Mine were full of rust but cleaned up just fine.

John Deere Model M Belt Pulley Assembly Removal for 3-po

Sure like to hear how heavy it is and how difficult to remove. Did you do it by yourself?

1949 Model M transmission oil contamination - how clean

Thanks, M-Man. I was hoping I wouldn't have to pull off the belt pulley attachment as it is pretty heavy for me to manage. I agree the buildup on the bottom should be left alone.... but it is clearly retaining some of the contamination behind it so not sure how will get that out. Might try to...

1949 Model M transmission oil contamination - how clean

On second thought, maybe first step is to take off the shift cover. I am 70 and that belt pulley looks pretty heavy. Can you see the bottom of the diff with the shift cover off?
