    Does this sound right?

Im dunno about natural gas. I would think they could shut it off at the meter to do a leak test...

    Does this sound right?

I have to do 100 leak tests every year just because of insurance. It has to be performed any time the tank is shut off for any reason. First it is a safety precaution. Second it’s for the propane company to cover their behind... I encourage everyone to get a leak test whenever possible. If there...

What do you have for new or upcoming projects.

i have an Oliver 1850 that I’m going to rebuild the engine. Hoping it goes well, it’s my first rebuild! My 770 is at the mechanics now with several things getting fixed. Dads sickle bar mower needs fined tuned and the square baler too.

    Spring wheat

Is there any difference in the straw between spring wheat and winter wheat? (This is totally tractor related because I?m gonna use a tractor to bale it...)

    bushing or bearing?

I didn't even think of it! I can do that. It's going to be a while before I could tear into it anyway. Is there a certain amount of hours it should be run before a sample? I just changed the oil in it.

    bushing or bearing?

Well...I guess if it's either the bushing or the bearing it won't go away without taking it apart. I'll check the valves, maybe I'll get lucky. Thanks for the reply.

    bushing or bearing?

I have an 1850 gas that has a noise in the engine. maybe like a small clunk? or baby knock...or heavy tick. Is there a sure way to tell what is causing it? I held a screwdriver against my ear and I think its louder towards the top of the engine block on the right side farthest rear cylinder...

Diesel or Gas 1850, which is better?

Don't get me wrong? I have an 1850 gas and I love it, but IF something big goes wrong then it's a chore to fix it up. The small stuff is usually on the shelf at the auto repair store...( plugs, wires, ignition, filters, oil, etc...) BUT...if I had it to do over again, I would not have bought an...

Diesel or Gas 1850, which is better?

I bought an 1850 gas with a bad engine thinking I would just throw another motor in.... It's been several years and I still have not found the money or the parts. The diesel engine and parts are much more readily available. And more affordable.

    Resistant weeds solution

I wish we had started sooner. My brother did some row cultivating last year but waited too long. The weeds drug up and pulled down the beans. The part that he did looked 90% better than the undone part. I'm going to be on standby this year...If the weeds break through the chemical...

    USX 37 grrr...

It's an Oliver 1850. The last one got a pinhole in it and would foul plugs within minutes. I replaced it and swore I had a new tractor. To replace with a zenith is too much money in my opinion. The USX runs excellent after a little fine tuning...then a little more fine tuning..etc. Does anyone...

    USX 37 grrr...

About how long should I expect the accelerator pump diaphragm to last? Not sure, but I think it gets too stiff and then the tractor stumbles when taking off. Could be other stuff.. I think it's been two years since I changed it.

    770 fans?

Love my 770. It starts every time! I wish that I had more stuff to do with it. It steers super easy. I haven't plowed much with it but I used a three bottom on some sod. My brother set the plow way too deep but it pulled it okay. The hydraulic oil leaks into the rear end, the front main seal on...

    rrlund one way cylinder

am going to get some new couplers for the hyd. Some of those good ones that hook up under pressure. When I change those I'm going to get a new filter and then see about bleeding the air out. I need to make sure both sets of remotes are working, but I think from here on out I'll just use a two...

    rrlund one way cylinder

rrlund, I hooked up a hose from the remote to the bypass for the single acting hyd. cylinder. The cylinder worked...kinda. It raised and lowered the rear of the plow but when I raised the 3-point the plow cylinder raised also...The 3-pt also "hiccups". It will drift down just a bit then pop back...
