    My dad was serving in the army in the Pacific during WW II. He bought an electric running gear and flare box and gear (had a totally different steering system more like modern wagons). The neighbors came over and took the box off so they could use it. He was NOT happy about it when he came home!

    I had a G like that. The valves needed resetting. And it usually went to my mechanic Uncle Floyd to pull the head and grind the valves because one or more were burnt.

    John Deere model R tractor shift lever knob

    Years ago the ball on the 3 point hitch on my 4020 broke off. I drilled a hole into a golf ball and hammered it onto the lever and it worked fine. I also did that to a neighbors 4020 and he was happy as well.

    Decades ago when I was growing up a neighbor kid purchased a motorcycle that used metric bolts. The previous owner obviously owned no metric wrenches. The neighbor kid said in his slow drawl, " there are two sizes on his motorcycle; vise grip size and hammer and chisel size."
