    Mudrig's new Ford 3000

So the steering cylinder is welded together, but the seal I need to replace is luckily held in with a snap ring.

    Mudrig's new Ford 3000

The radiator seems pretty full to me, the guy said that he kept filling it up every time he ran it so I'm assuming he was filling it all the way up every time. It's a factory 2 line hydraulic valve, it has a knob that I'm assuming is the drop speed adjustment and then the two positions for lift...

    Mudrig's new Ford 3000

Just picked up a new toy: A mid 60s 3000 diesel select-o-speed. I am well aware of the reputation of these machines, but for the work I'm doing and the price it was the best I could get. Eventually I plan on 8 speed swapping it, but for now it's keeping the select-o-speed. Lots of little things...

    The Ratty-20

All back together. Got it out and took it down the house to run it a bit since it has sat all winter. Paint still has more rust than I'd like, but I'm destroying the paint trying to remove it, so I'm leaving it. I have a set of rims lined up to replace the rears since they're majorly rotted, and...

    The Ratty-20

We don't run a tedder around here, we just mow it, and rake it to turn it over to let the bottom dry. Would be nice to actually run it this year, since we do have one, but have never actually used it.

    The Ratty-20

Exciting day! Steering bracket came and it went together nicely. Surprisingly, the tie rod ends don't fit the Schwartz mount so I thought they wouldnt work without an adapter bushing, but I got a factory steering bracket and the 1520 tie rod ends fit in perfectly, and are actually a bit too long...

    The Ratty-20

Just like that, it's back on all 4s. Steering bracket isn't here yet, and it needs front tires since the front tires are actually coming apart at the seams.

    The Ratty-20

Finally got the front axle plate in, needs some careful cutting to clear the axle and adapter bushings but it should work great.

    The Ratty-20

I haven't posted this tractor here, but here's a project I've been working on for the last 2-ish years in my absence. This is our 1969 John deere 3020, that I lovingly call the "Ratty-20" because it was uuugly when I first pulled it out of the weeds to work on it. This tractor has been on our...
