Went to adjust my clutch pedal linkage yesterday for the first time and noticed a decent amount of free play in the lever on the side of the transmission. assuming this is normal to make sure the clutch fully engages but just want to make sure. Video attached. Thanks -

Thanks for the info! I was hoping someone had experience with the same issue, did you just use the shims that were already installed or is there any trick to shimming the gears correctly?- Naltrac

Any experience pulling these apart? Should the gear and bearings come off the shaft relatively easily or is it normal to require some persuasion? Trying to minimize the parts I have to throw at it and worried about bearings and seals if I have to tear it down completely.- Naltrac

I believe the gear box is a 70772 (https://bushhog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/BHRotaryCutter420-sq84t-08.pdf), it has a rear cover held in place with a large retaining ring. Thanks for the responses. Took some better pics of the right side this morning, it looks to me like a previous owner ground the inside lip off and then re-welded a lip back on to retain the cat 1 ball. So unless I’m missing something I’m thinking I have 3 options: 1) Grind the inside weld... -
