    Grapple problems

This occurred to me also. When opening its retracting…and that’s where the bypass theory falls apart.

    Grapple problems

Me too. I had three of this same bucket at one time running on SVL90s and 95s. Operators put them through hell and still I’ve never seen anything like this.

    Grapple problems

Broke one clear off once and I’ve twice bent one enough to allow the o-ring to blow out and no longer be serviceable. I don’t get bent out of shape over busted fittings and hoses. It’s going to happen on occasion with grapple work. I do need to grapple to respond in the correct direction to...

    Grapple problems

I’ve tried to isolate my inputs to one at a time. It’s difficult as old habits die hard (and grappling brush just work better with loader motions at your disposal). Best I can tell, it matters not whether I’m giving a separate input when closing the grapple. That I don’t know.

    Grapple problems

Either. I can run it at idle or at higher rpm, and it appears I can cycle the cylinders all day without a malfunction. 16-1700 is where I tend to run it. The grapple is snappy but not obnoxious at that rpm, and I still have enough oomph to run the loader.

It’s a land pride add-on; push buttons as opposed to manually operated valve.

    Grapple problems

    What makes you think that?

    Grapple problems

It’s already quite jerky at anything above idle. I’m thinking it’s really going to need some restriction to cope with this setup. Anyway, add in that one side may be clamped on a load and that it happens when not expecting it, and I think that might explain my perception of very violent...

Thank you! I hadn’t seen intermittent bypassing like this before and it’s good to know it happens on occasion!

Jim - I have already stated that I have used this particular grapple. You seem more focused on finding fault in posts than anything

    Grapple problems

The point of saying “grapples” was that I have operated many of them and never seen this behavior. I’ve torn lines, rebuilt cylinders, and never seen anything like this. Usually a couple strokes and it’s in business. This one has been cycled hundreds of times and still has totally random...

    Grapple problems

I’ve used the grapple before on a different skid steers without issue, but it’s been a while. My reason in posting is this was thinking that perhaps there may be an issue with bleeding. That’s what it seems like to me. My thoughts are that the cylinders are small and with a short stroke, and...

    Grapple problems

I think you all have satisfactorily hammered home the point of not tearing apart a 3 day old fully warranteed tractor. The grapple is not from a dealer, not under warranty, and they aren’t going to troubleshoot or repair it.
