    Is a 127 close enough? I have a manual, & I did swap a 127 engine onto my 141 many years back.

    John Deere BWF disk bearings

    I just picked up this disk from an estate. It has a couple broken disk blades. I've dropped the gang, and am having trouble getting bearings off. Naturally, the broken blades are by bearings that are still good.Any tips to getting these off besides lots of penetrating oil & violence?

    What's this worth

    As someone who learned how to drive a combine on a 127, you might never see another one that looks that good. Personally I'd rather have a 141, but theyre almost the same combine. Its going to come down to how much you want it. They are almost all gone.

    Thats a very clean combine, Nice find! I wouldve guessed it was a C II.

    Earliest combine memories are on a W400 with my Dad pullin a 122 IH (McCormick),then 127 141 101 CII Gleaner G Gleaner 715 IH and after being out of farming for 20 yrs, this fall I saved an F Gleaner from the scrapper. ($350 & new tires!)

    T/A lubrication

    Keep in mind the T/A isnt the same on your MTA as it is on an 806 or newer. Your T/A isnt hydraulic. its all mechanical. The old ones dont run in oil, so stiff gearlube shouldnt affect old style T/A's. Your tractor was designed for gear lube not hydraulic oil. Hytran wont hurt your rear end or...
