    john deere b runs hot

    Are you running antifreeze? They will run hotter with antifreeze than water as it is heavier bodied and does not circulate and cool as well. Sorta like 10w30 versus 50 weight.

    He lives about 15 minutes from me. A great guy helped me with the correct gear pitch and teeth I needed to speed up my R Moline pulling tractor. His brother Barry has pretty amazing things he's built too.

    They could have replaced the manifold with early Z. Dose it have the correct hood for a ZB?

    Anyone know what year a 6hp Bean engine serial number 6945 would be?

    Today I bought a Bean 6hp complete except for the water cover on the head. $100 so happy as I had one back in the late 70s and sold it. Covered in old grease and can still see the original color green under it.

    Minneapolis Moline street sweeper

    I live about 20 miles from where the sweeper was. Looked at it and was quite original not chopped up. Brought $2300 + did have a piece broken out of front casting due to water but he had the piece. ZA Moline grill parts were drop dead copies.

    Farmall H 9 bolt hubs

    MM R has 2.5 axels with a 3/4". If that's wider than the H key width just step mill the 3/4" key.

    Small Case steam tractor

    There were kits available in rough castings. Not sure if they still are I have a kit for a 1.5"x 2" vertical I have been working on. 5" flywheel overall will be 11" tall.

    Tractor transmission gears

    Twin City gear in the twin cities MN can make about anything you need. Just had them broach a couple gear blanks for a MM R. Comment about set up is right on. $3.50 each to broach $150 for set up per gear blank.

    Fairbanks Morse FM 0483 Mag-What will it fit?

    I have an original FM parts repair manual that covers everything back to the RV series mags and do not find anything with that number. Is there an FM x j w b or anything else on the type plate?
