What do you know about this implement?

It would probably double as a small guys seed tender for a older grain drill. Easier than handling sacks.

    Vermeer swather

Theres no conditioner on the TM's so that saves a lot of hp.

    Vermeer baler bale ramp

Did they have a simple bale ramp at that time or was it one with chains on it driven by a hydralic drive.

How much does lime cost in your area?

Its free and they spread it. Its coming out of a paper mill. Not the nicest job of spreading but who cares.

    Round baler tractor

Our vermeer monitor is left on year round in the sun, heat, rain, snow, and other nasty crap and it still works. This is the fancy monitor used on the j, k, and l series balers. I think dust is least of things to worry about.

    Round baler tractor

We run about a 1000 a year on an open station, 1086 with a 4 post setup. Sometime when you get done you could go down to the hood and fit in with the brothers. Especially true with rained on hay or low ground hay.

    Lemon Law?

Had a neighbor who bought a new self propelled haybine many years ago go through 3 motors before they found the problem. It was a bad ground between the motor and frame and it would wipe out the bearings. Is the motor getting rebuilt or is it a crate motor getting put in?

Been racking my brain on round bale sizes

I know it doesn't say Dry Matter/cu. ft. but that might be what they are figuring. 8lbs/cu. ft is a real soft bale for actual material weight. Most bales are 11-12lbs/cu ft

    Good Round Baler

If you go with a 6' diameter and make shorter bales the baler will last for a real long time. I would go with a vermeer or Jd. Go with a J series or up for a vermeer. Not sure on JD models i think it would be a 5 series on up. Someone will chime in with some more info. forgot to add...

Been racking my brain on round bale sizes

I would like to see a dry bale out of a hesston baler (<15%) that makes 14 lbs a cubic ft. Might happen in pure clover or alfalfa but i would be suprised. With the new balers 14.5lbs c/ft is achievable. Many people forget to actually go measure their bales and see what size they are. I...

    skidsteer chains

We have two skidloaders, and have full sets of chains for both. We also have grousers for one of them. That being said there is a time and place for tracks and chains. Winter time and in the spring before the frost comes up and its a lil muddy we run chains on at least one skidloader...

    Vermeer 605J baler

Call up Vermeer to find out about ordering the monitor cord 1-800-370-3659 (Ag Division). Pretty sure the main drum is the same up to the XL 5' wide balers. For our 604SJ it was about $900. I dont know of any salvage yards but if you find a good salvage yard post it. Get a spiral starting...

Set me up to bale hay...

For round baling a Vermeer M series baler. If you can afford a super M even better. Agree with the guys about the JD squares. 338 for thrower racks and a 348 if you plan on using a stackliner.
