We had a 1450 Cockshutt, a 68 that had it on the side of the hood. My theory on how it came about has to do with the Nebraska Rating of the 770 series and the 1550 series. The three digits were over rated at Nebraska and the 50 series well underrated. The 770 was 216 cu and turned at 1750...

    Re: Cockshutt 570

Could I get your 570 gas serial number and engine serial number? I have a registry going and have maybe 40 on the list. They say only about 100 were made. My email is open. Thanks. Neil

    cream seperator

Hi Bill. About 15 years ago I did a little consulting work for Hershey when it was still in Smith Falls. At the time, they wanted 316 stainless which seems like the best food grade their is per this link. Identifying it might be harder in a used separator. It does seem like the second best...

Tractors Does anyone dare to do this???

Unlike a new car, they have residual value and if you look after them it increases. 25 years ago, my father in law was chiding me for putting my 540 Cockshutt in the garage and not my car. The car has likely came back a couple of times by now as something vsluaeable as Toyota gas pedal...

    PSB pump timing 88 Diesel

Our Cockshutt 570 Super was direct injection and was sometimes hard to start when it was hot. I advanced the timing just a tiny bit and that problem went away. We had it for 36 years. The lanova system may be different though.

One would need to know the stock bore to calculate the new cubic inch number.

    540 hood

I have a 540 hood for sale here near Ottawa Ontario. It does have a muffler hole in it which needs to be patched, but is rust free and dent free.

Three Point Hitch Cockshutt Disc made by Pittsburgh Forgings

I am pretty sure the 262 and 263 Wheel discs were made by the Ohio Cultivator company which Cockshutt owned at the time. So essentially Cockshutt made them. I had a 10 ft 263 at one time myself. It worked well. The cleaners and mount for them are similar to the 265, but different numbers in...

Three Point Hitch Cockshutt Disc made by Pittsburgh Forgings

I bought this Cockshutt 265 disc from the mid 50s. I am told it may have been made by Pittsburgh Forgings? Would anyone know who made it or have seen one like it? I am looking for scrapers for it and am wondering where to start to looks. I posted this in the Implement section and thought I...
