    Good Tire Gauge?

This may go in more directions than a discussion about the best oil, but here goes. Do y'all have some recommendations for a tire gauge that is good, easy-to-use, durable, and preferably reasonably priced? I am especially interested in easy to use. With many gauges, I find it difficult to...

    High torque engines

Agree again. I once had a ford pickup with an over square (4.36" bore x 3.85" stroke) 460. It also had very good low-speed torque, due largely to a very conservative camshaft.

    High torque engines

Agreed. Also, as far as I can tell, it's a myth that an oversquare configuration cannot make as much torque as undersquare. If you trade 10% less stroke for 10% more bore area, you trade 10% less lever arm for 10% more force (pressure times area) on the piston. The end result is the same...

    AC Capacitor Source

Interesting idea. This old unit does not warrant the outlay for two capacitors. But on the next one, I just may do that.

    AC Capacitor Source

Thanks for the thought. Didn't turn up any good leads on that front, unfortunately. Should show up pretty soon. And I've got a big fan in the bedroom to tide more over, meantime.

Good song:-) And, yes, they probably should update it to include Amazon.

    AC Capacitor Source

Thanks to you and BandD. It helps a lot to know I can (and should) go up on the voltage rating. Neil

    AC Capacitor Source

Oof, sorry to hear about the pain on that! Amazon seems like a viable option, now that I know a little more about it, particularly that I don't need to (and probably shouldn't select a 250v) example.

    AC Capacitor Source

Thanks to you and Dick for that suggestion. I looked around a little on their website, which is a bit dizzying. But I think I'll call the local Grainger and possibly head over there.

    AC Capacitor Source

That sounds right. Here's a picture of the connectors And, fortunately, I took a picture of how the compressor was connected to it, so that I can put it back right.

    Appreciate the leads. Neil

    AC Capacitor Source

Good info. Going to look into finding one.

That sounds like a winner, as I don't want to have to replace this again:-) Thanks! Neil
