    Quincy QR possible fixes please!

Little shy to admit this but after taking most of the oil pump and it's surroundings apart I found out that the rotation was not correct! Somehow, with my temporary wiring, every so many start ups the motor will turn the other direction. Could have something to do with the phase converter. So...

    Quincy QR possible fixes please!

Well I thought I had it fixed but it turns out disconnecting the no oil shutoff control was just a coincidence. After a couple of start ups, not reading any pressure. Maybe one out of five times I will get a pressure reading but the pump will always produce air. I don't think it is the gauge...

I see it. Thanks for the info. I am hoping slowly but surely I will know this compressor like the back of my hand! Just takes time and alot of good friendly info to get there. I've read that the compressor can be set for continuous operation like for sand blasting. Can anyone tell me what is...

    Quincy QR possible fixes please!

Thanks for all the replies. I disconnected the Johnson oil shut off control and re-installed the gauge as if the controller did not exist. On start up the gauge went right to max and then settled down to 23-25psi on the gauge. So I guess the controller stopped the gauge from reading some how...

    Quincy QR possible fixes please!

It is quite a bit of compressor but I don't want to worry about air for a very long time! Once I get it set up, I should be good till I'm done! The compressor it is replacing (Brunner 414) was in my grandfathers Esso garage before I was born and then eventually in my dad's shop and now in mine...

Will the oil pressure gauge still have a reading even if I have the Johnson oil pressure cutout attached to where the gauge is?

    Quincy QR possible fixes please!

Thanks for the info on the P28. Googled it and found some good stuff, most of all, it does not require 3 phase power for it to function. I will be able to use it with my final setup.Sounds like a handy device to have. I am not sure if the gauge works but I tried both pump heads and both give me...

    Quincy QR possible fixes please!

I recently purchased a used Quincy ff350 air compressor which is basically two 350 (roc 105) pumps on one tank. I just got it to my shop and wanted to test it to make sure it was all working before going forward to the install. The compressor is 3 phase 10hp and I rigged it up to my phase...

    Liens and Loans

Awhile back I posted a question pertaining to stolen tractors and the replys where excellent but a few posters warned of liens or loans on a tractor is another thing to be watching for when prchasing one. How or where would I find out if there is a lien on a tractor if the seller is not on the...

    stolen tractor check

Thanks for everyone for the replys. The reason I am asking is because I am from Montreal Canada and we have to register our tractors into our name and when we sell it the registration gets signed onto the new buyer, like a car. I thought it was a bit odd that there is only a bill of sale for the...

Is there any place on the internet where I can go to check a tractors serial number to find out if the tractor has been stolen. I wish to by a 2006 john deere but would like to see if it is all clear. Also, the sale is in Georgia and the person said there is no titles or registration for a...
