    Shawnee Loader fluid?

    I have a Shawnee loader on my IH 300U tractor and I am changing out the hydraulic fluid. The pump mounts on the front crankshaft, so is a closed system. Anyone know if combo Transmission / hydraulic fluid is the right thing to use here? Also, there is a screen in the return line but I know of no...

    They polish hard trowel finished floors, not broom finish. That would need to be ground smooth first. Much more money.

    OT: Ford 250 truck key switch

    The key switch on my 89' F250 was getting hard to turn. Coincidentally, the starter was sluggish and the power up hills was horrible. Well I shot some WD-40 in to free up the switch. Did a nice job. The starter immediately turned over faster and I could swear the truck has more power up hills...

    OT-Ashes

    wood ashes are great to use on ice. They stick just like glue. Sand will slide on hard ice. How would I know????

    JD 3- Series square Balers

    I run 2ea JD 336's. The dealer is close so parts are easy to get but pricey. I have only ever run JD's but I am told since the flywheel is in line with the plunger head, they bale with lesser force on the tractor when compressing. I am also told the bales are tight and square. I sell & deliver...

    No More Wood Cutting For A While Pics.

    Kids and I went down to Dad's place in Bel Air, MD to cut wood. No snow there. They had 8 large trees come down from Hurricane Sandy. Plenty to cut.

    What I Got for Christmas

    a neighbor of mine made a full size 3 lb howitzer for a Civil War reinactor. Using gun grade metal of course. He said a federal permit was required to own it, once made.

    OT - Lost our friend

    thanks all for the replies. Sad thing is, she was a replacement for our much older dog who passed on, faithful to the end. Now, we basically need to start all over again. Hard to have the heart to put into it sometimes. But, we will.

    Lack of Holiday Lites

    personally, I do not like Christmas lights on anything but a tree. It has become gaudy and wasteful. People seem to want to out do each other and that's not what the day is all about. Sometimes, less really is more.
