    Been helping a friend work on his 1956 vac. It had a bad throw out bearing and we got it apart ordered the bearing and seal for the assembly. Bearing is good but the seal is wrong dealer says that is the only one they have for it. Is there a different part number we could use for the seal...

    Put in outside in the cold for 2 hours then used a small 2 ton press at the neighbors place and it came right out.

    I am not sure the way it looks it should be forced down but I used a big hammer and punch but it didn't do anything I hit it from the other side with same result.
