    720 clutch bevel washers

    They are used now to try and make clutches less snatchy. They are basically a spring, so presumably just preload the disks up slightly which helps with engagement. Can’t do any harm.

    R hydraulic pump runs when the PTO runs. PTO has a wet clutch, in my experience they all drag so the PTO shaft never actually stops when the engine is running. Mine will stop if the clutch is disengaged and i move the Powr Trol lever. I assume the extra bit of load is enough to overcome the drag...

    JD 830 three point hitch

    In the UK there are towed toolbars which have a 3 point on them. They were designed to be towed by crawler tractors that did not have linkage fitted. Do you have such things over the pond? Obviously you need an 830 with at least single hydraulics!

    It doesn’t, it can be wiggled and turned out without having to pull the clutch apart.

    It probably just needs a carb kit and a tune up. They are a powerful little engine when they are set up right, they can take a bit of getting right though. UK petrol doesn t make a difference.

    If you still have the fuel shut off, i would try bypassing it and see if that helps. Diaphragm could have gone bad.

    They are the same tractor there is no 830 manual as such as far as i know.

    You are right, no water pumps on an R. Could be head gasket, could be manifold gasket. Manifold is inlet, exhaust and water connection to the little engine.
