    I second the cracked firewall behind the slave cylinder. I once helped a friend fix his by making a steel plate to go behind the slave cylinder and stiffen the firewall.

    560 starts hard yet....

    We had several 560 Diesels when I was growing up. I believe they all had 2 - 6 volt batteries hooked up in series to give 12 volt output. Seemed like fully charged batteries were a necessity to get those diesels started even on a 50 degree day. I would check to make sure ALL of the glow plugs...
