    Merry Christmas and thanks

Just want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and say thanks for all the good questions and info. First and sometimes only site I check most days. Expecting Christmas Day blizzard here. 1800 and snow blower and 770 and loader are ready to go. :) Best wishes for a great New Year too!

    1800 Diesel Preheat

Should be a silver push-button on upper left side of the dash. Don't know if the key has to be on but I always turn it on first. You should be able to hear it click when you first hit the button if it's working. Depending on how cold it is, hold it for 30-40 seconds, crank it a few seconds...

    Best Oliver?

For me the 88 and 1650 are the best. They just keep on going. The most enjoyable to drive were the 1855 and 1755, my first cab tractors. They were worked hard and held up great. I know the 1855's have a bad reputation, but I would have put mine up against any make back then. Took a 2-135 to...

    White 2-155 tractor

    1650

Jim, I've had a 1650 diesel since 1976, and not to be a smart alec, but I can't honestly think of any bad points. About 13,000 hours and one engine overhaul, one clutch, never have touched the hydra-power, rear end or hydraulics. Never have driven a better handling or handier tractor.

How many still use their Oliver's...

I use them all. White 2-135, all tillage, 2-70, 1650, 1800C, planting, cultivating, mowing, 770, loader work, 88 and 66, auger, sprayer and misc. No longer have livestock so hours don't add up as fast anymore, but all of them earn their keep.
