VAC rear end question odd tranny? - Need Gaskets

I believe this may be a pre World war 2 VAC rear end. I don’t think it is a VAS/VAH because they are completely different. Read the link Quote: Except for military units, the production of the Case VA was interrupted in July of 1942 due to World War II. It resumed again in 1944 and continued...

I have a spareVAC?? Case rear end and tranny that I am going to use on my 1947 VAC because the original is rusted out. I have no idea what year the replacement rear end and tranny are off of. The replacement rear end and tranny only have seven bolts/studs holding the tranny and rear end...

    VAC Gear ratio

Thanks for responding. I appreciate the help! My VAC’s both having the old style disk brakes. Neither one of them is a VAI so more than likely they are the same. Right? I am going to mark and measure both transmissions by turning the input shaft, hold one rear axle, and measuring the amount of...

    Exhaust ports on WD45 Head

Plane the head or replace it. Have a good machinist check the manifold and head for you. A WC, WD, 45, 17, 170, 175, or E combine gas head will fit. Older heads require studs and differnt valve cover. Newer D17 and up use long reach spark plugs. The heads are easy to find used.

    snap coupler history

Most WD45s had the snap coupler and most WD"s did not. They inter-change. I put one on my 49 WD from a 45. The drawbar is different too.

    4000SU done

74 4000SU diesel mystery part and wiring

I had little knowledge of Ford tractor parts when I ordered my alternator conversion kit. The kit included a Delco alternator kit on eBay with brackets, pulley, tach drive, and instructions. The price was fair, but not cheap. The new wiring harness I have is for a generator and will need to be...
