    Rim painting

    I took the rims to my local tire company for removal of the old tires. They just called and said the rims are badly corroded. I haven't gone by to look at them yet, but is it possible to repair? If not, any suggestions about replacement rims?

    I have new rear tires and tubes for my 1946 Farmall H. What's the best sequence for paint prep, new tire installation, etc.? Since the restoration hasn't started, just do the primer coat and leave the final for last?

    I have a 46 H with distributor. What is the easiest way to adjust timing? Can it be done without a light?

    Farmall H, coil wiring

    I bought a new coil from an auto parts store for my '46 H, 6 volt, positive ground. The old coil had the terminals marked "distributor" and "battery". The new one has + and -. So, I'm ASSuming that the positive goes to the distributor and negative goes to the switch?

    Just checked and doesn"t seem to be moisture, but the points probably should be changed. Can I get points/condenser at a run of the mill auto parts store? Didn"t try to start yet as I have the battery out to charge it.
