NAPA Ignition Parts For 801/901 Series Fords

souNdguy, Thanks for posting that list. I will save it for future use. Question, though, the parts you mention are Standard Ignition and Blue Streak. The ones I bought previously from NAPA were Echlin parts. Has NAPA changed their source, or am I missing something?? Myron

NAPA Ignition Parts For 801/901 Series Fords

I don't like chinese parts either, but that seems to be the only way other than the New Holland dealer, which is even further away. I don't know for sure if he was looking under 'ag' or what, since my vision is blurry with a cataract, but I watched him look up "ford 901 tractor" and got to...

NAPA Ignition Parts For 801/901 Series Fords

I haven't been on this board for a long time, so this may have been discussed before. I went to NAPA today to get an ignition condenser for my 961, but the only way to purchase one seems to be to buy a "kit" with the points, condenser, rotor, [u:4fd7b00687]cap and plugs[/u:4fd7b00687], not in...

    ford 860 power steering conversion?

Someone more qualified will probably respond, but my take would be to find a tractor salvage yard and buy ALL the necessary parts. If you go that route, be sure to take plenty of detailed pictures of the assembly [i:dbf93799c1]before[/i:dbf93799c1] it if removed from the old machine. Methinks...

Township roads and "IMPLEMENTS OF HUSBANDRY"

Cas, Here in Ohio my property map and description shows that the property line is "the center of the road", and I'll bet that we're are taxed on that land as well as the rest of the property. It also shows that the "right of way" easement extends so many feet from the "center line of the...

    Weird Craigslist scam(?)

I would print a copy of the ad and show it to the local Sheriff to see if they would investigate. Give them as much info as possible. Myron

OT Yea..but how will you fix it? OT

The adds around here are such mis-representations of the facts that they amount to outright lies. There doesn't seem to be an effective way to counteract them. Myron

    Ford 960 Speed

Must just be the oldtimer's disease setting in, because my 961 seems light years faster than what I remember of the 8N. That was many years ago! Myron

    Ford 960 Speed

"When I was a kid the farmer that I worked for had an 801 with loader and Elenco, and a bare 960. He had two sons, both a little younger than I. When we would transport from one farm to another you know that there was some road racing going on. The 960 would always beat the 801 but not by a lot...

    welding sheet metal with arc?

I have had limited success welding sheet metal with 3/32 (smallest I cold get at the time) 6011 rod, but have to "stitch" - hit and get off, hit and get off method. It is an odd variant of 6011 as it has a white coating instead of the usual gray or brown.. I run it on DC as it is much smoother...

    OT - flex duct repair

The old cement board was a product called Transite and supposedly contained asbestos. I don't know if they revised the product to eliminate the asbestos or not. Maybe Hardyboard (sp?) would be the current choice. Myron

Using Google to get the facts

[b:5391f92591]Google tracks everything you do[/b:5391f92591] on the internet, so they can push advertising at you and collect a percentage on any referred sites you visit. [b:5391f92591]For goodness sake use Ixquick instead.[/b:5391f92591] No tracking to push ads at you or sell your info to...

    Unknown Tractor

I didn't think until long after I had posted my comment that the spelling should have been Paige. I just did an Ixquick search for Paige and got a lot of results, mostly tractor dealers and Graham-Paige tillers. Seems that a small tractor might have been made with the Frazer name. Use this...

    fluid film

Does anyone know if Fluid Film will flow through an airless sprayer, or is it too thick? If it would flow through an airless paint filter, it might go through the sprayer as well. I wouldn't want to start thinning it with solvents to make it flow. Myron
