    Never worked with lead pipe, but did run into lead romex ,made for underground. I might have some in the shop.

    If, you end up using the tractor , have an implement on the 3 point, hook chain as short as you can use REVERSE to pull stump. This way, no flipover and max traction. One quarter on the gas, not too fast. Luck.

    If you extend the wheels on an early Ford and put duels on it. You would have a very low profile tractor, maybe put 24's on rear instead of 28's. State used to use Fords to mow highways.

    It is a FORD the 1939s had a cast aluminum grill that was horizontal , not vertical . As above due to stamping dies not finished for the hood, the first 500 or so were made with a cast hood and grill. I am not sure about the grill, however the hoods were painted. It takes a lot of work to...

    What makes a generator 6v or 12v?

    We have a rebuilder in the area that works on starters ,generators and such. They pick up the failed item on Tuesday , and deliver the next week. I have had a 6 volt generator rebuilt to 12 volt, been working 20 years now. Where are you located? joe
