    how many of you learned to drive on a tractor?

    Daddy's 1952 Farmall C model first just pulling the the hay wagon. But learned to shift and brake and steer. Came in handy when I got to the 1954 Chevy station wagon. BTW that tractor is up the street now as "Yard Art" at the neighbors who I sold it too about 10 years ago (no longer running)

    OT your thoughts/experience

    "Some" of those V-6 engines had oil return tube issues. Oil in the heads would clog up the tubes, causing reduced lubrication to the crank and failure.( tubes were too small) It was corrected in later years. Somewhere there is a place you can enter the serial number and find out from the...

    Why Mercury

    Pontiac made a slant 4 back in the 60's think it was. It was half of the 389 V8 . Wife had one , had a cable type drive shaft and not enough power to keep it running at a stop light with the AC on.

    What do I do with Pears?

    We used to take the many many over load of pears to the deer lease and stick them on a thorn tree or lodge them in the branches. The deer loved them. and of course it was not baiting according to the laws. sure made where to hunt a no brainer. :-)
