    WD45 (Gas) Sputters

    Does choking it when it messes up help or hurt how it runs?? If it helps good chance it is running to lean and you need to open up the main jet on the carb a bit. If it hurts then either your air cleaner needs to be serviced or the main jet set leaner

    As per the Springfield new this Aug is the 19th dries on record and it isn't looking good for any rain for over a week and temps up close to 100 if not above

    12V Alternator Issue

    Is your alternator a Delco 10S! if so it has to have 3 wires hooked up to work. The charge wire which goes to the amp gauge the excite wire which turns the alternator on I.E. FLD wire and then the sense wire which tells the alternator when to stop/slow down on charging

    If the fuel system is factory still it has a filter screen in the elbow going into the side of the carb that could be clogged up or the screen inside thwe tank that is part of the sediment bowl assembly maybe clogged. Or even the line it self

    The reason I say check the spark first is to avoid causing a fire. If you check fuel then spark you have a chance of starting a fire due to gas fumes

    Learn to trouble shoot!! #1 pull a plug wire and check that you have a good blue/white spark that will jump a 1/4 inch gap. #2 pull the carb drain plug and make sure you have a steady flow of gas that will fill a pint jar in less then 2 minutes. And yes catch the gas to look for water, dirt etc.

    2026 has been so far a pretty bad year. First off floods and now we are in another drought. Plus having a heart attack and having my wife died on me has made 2026 a very bad year. Plus I still need to get hay done

    The best way would be a shear that way you don't end up with a lot of lead dust in the air to make you sick

    Simple answer is yes but it will be slow going and could take a good bit of time with a machine that small but then again it isn't a D-8Cat

    Now days I post on the O/T forum more then any other due to age and disables. In years past I did a lot on and with tractor but after my heart attack and then my wife passing away things aren't as easy to handle

    I'm on Y-T every day of the week if I can be. Yes back in Oct of 2025 I had to not be able to be on line for a month of so due to a heart attack.

    WD45 value

    Very hard to say. A few years back I picked up a WD45 at auction for $750 but no one could get it to run but I did and drove it on the trailer. That said I've seen them go for $500 running up to $4000 .
