    Ford Jubilee is there a Starting point for the idle screw on carb

    #1 is the main jet adjustment and #2 idle. Set the idle at 1.5 turns out from bottom and from there it is a pretty much set it and leave it. #1 set at about 2.5 out from bottom and adjust from there for good power and no black smoke

    First thing I would do to it is fill all 4 cylinders with ATF and pull it home that way. That way the ATF can free up sticking rings and valves etc.

    Learn to trouble shoot before parts. New parts only cover up problems. Run a hot wire from the ignition side of the battery to the coil ignition/distributor side and see if that makes it run. If it does the problem is from the coil back to the battery things like bad wire or ignition switch...

    That set up has always been a slow pain in the back sides set up What you need it to install a hyd pump that runs off the crankshaft and that way you have both when you need both

    Is it still 6 volts or is it 12 volts?? If 12 volts do you have a ballast resister in line with the coil or is the coil a TRUE 12 volt coil that say on it no resister needed?

    Simple way to trouble shoot is to use a hot wire from the nonground side of the battery to the coil. Touch the wire to the coil and watch for a spark.
