    86 Ford truck eloectric issue.. On the right track??

    check to see if the engine is grounded good to body and to battery ground. may just take a jumper cable from battery ground to the altenator frame. only a guess oldart

    did you ever check the pedal adjustment after you instaled it the throwout bearing may have been riding for some time and thje clutch sliping till it to wore out. you will do better the nex time. i allways checked my work after some milage . oldart

    retired for 20y electrian for 30y grew up as a mecanic dad sold ford cars ,trucks,tracktors worked for him until 1960 am now 85 do next to noyhing and go to tractor shows . old art

    Farmall Super C carbon buildup

    take the tractor and work it with a load.like plowing ,discing,bush hog. but make it work for an hour or so you will be suprised in the way it wil run after . old art

    find indoor storage if you can or maybe a open side roof shelter like a carport i never covered my travel trailer always got up to check the roof vents and any seams for cracks and resealed any that looked poor worth the effort anyway old art.

    it could have a bearing that is bade and the grease seal failed letting the grease out if you tear it apart and check it out could save a lot of money you will have a ease of mind and agear box you will know it's conditon and not fail when kneeded old art

    im betting on the pressure tank put aome air in it to have room to put water in with a cushin if it has a rubber bladder in it .it is probley lleaking.

    clean your radiator check the fan belt also checktimeing so it is not late move all the air you can under there enen put a heat shieldover the muffler allthe little things add up
