    Yet another use for Automatic Transmission Fluid???

    Better not let it sit long with ATF on the chain and bar/bow. The detergents will ruin it with rust. Ask me how I know. I mixed some ATF with oil on my bow saw. A year later the chain and bow were both solid rust and ruined.

    Fuel tank cleaning

    Depending on how much rust is in there you can sometimes use a 50% mix of vinegar and water to dissolve it. My diesel tank on my backhoe had rust in the bottom and the vinegar and water worked pretty well on it. I drained the tank and pressure washed before and after soaking over night then...

    Thanks again for the helpful advice. I have downloaded the service and operators manual and will scour them. Nothing beats the knowledge of those with experience on machines I have none with so I'm liable to keep asking questions as they come up.
