    Also, you can pasture it to sheep. They love Canada Thistles. They will keep them eaten to ground level. Or if it would work, plant the the ground to pure alfalfa and make hay. It will crowd them out. Alfalfa it good stuff.

    No flaming from here. I did the same thing on my 961. I used a 16 inch flat file though. It's amazing how "unflat" the top of the deck is/was.

    Rebuilding a 10si alternator.

    Years ago, I ran two 10DN's on my 69 Freightliner. I had two of them. One drove off the crank and the other off the accessory drive. Corrosion on the stator windings always got them. Back then, I could buy new 72 amp stators for $10. Not anymore. I still have one in the original box.

    update on IH 434 deisel blowby

    It should have been 855 cid. :):):) I just had to say that. I had several of those Cummins also. I never wore one out but got rid of them for another. 1979 4070B RIght? I had a 1970 4070A, but it had a 318. That was enough. I also had a 1963 Emeryville with a 250 and an air tag.
