    Thanks so much for your nice comments. Clint died in his sleep on St. Patrick's Day. I will miss him but it is a peaceful way to go. He had suffered from myelopathy, COPD ( due to farming not smoking) and Afib but still was unexpected. Mrs Oleclint

    Those boxes look to be Bradford s. Usted to farm 25 miles from there factory. Owned one, it was always breaking or twisting . Found out that mine was made with very low grade, 'soft' steel.Almost impossible to weld on it. Got rid of it after only one season

    Dreaming of cabs again

    I owned two of those cabs that the side windows slid up under the roof. They were better than nothing, plus not to noisey. Had to remodel the brackets some.But the tractors were on L P G, so the tank was somewhat a problem.

    What you have is a silo unloader winch. It was used to raise or lower the unloader, regulating the rate of feed into the unloader.Been there, done that for years. No idea how much load you could put on it. They are very slow, but your idea to turn it sounds good. Starline made many unloaders...

    A John Deere " H" had a foot throttle to over ride the regular throttle for road travel. We have a Case VAC that is about a 1943 model that has a factory installed foot throttle. oleclint

    Angle iron on the SC

    If I remember rite, What you are describing , The cultivator depth control levers mount on that angel iron. Dads 43 was set up that way and had the power lift two row culti. Had to remove the iron when mounting the manure loader. oleclint
